About The Event
HOMELAND: Restoration • Sovereignty • Recognition is the title of this year’s Visibility Through Art Exhibit and is the theme for the entirety of the 10th Annual Nisenan Heritage Day event.
The Art Exhibition brings collaboration between local artists and members of the Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe who were paired with an artist partner to delve into topics of identity, home and belonging through interviews and artistic profiles. Tribal Elders created their own art this year which will also be displayed in the Art Exhibition. Talks and music will happen downstairs in the barrel room.
Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. No advance sales.
